Halloween is a little bit special for Anne and myself. 31st October is the date we landed in Ireland to start a new life. It’s almost five years ago now. Time flies. Establishing a new business is hard enough. Doing it in a foreign country (for me at least; Anne’s a local) is harder still. Nevertheless, we’re getting there, and along the way we started a family and picked up a national photography award. Really looking forward to the next five years.
Meanwhile, my chum Dr Ben Martin has been working to bolster his media presence and raise so money for the Cork Sri Lanka Orphanage Fund into the bargain. He’s chosen to support the charity through a range of upcoming events, kicking off this week with a Halloween-themed fundraiser during which all the proceeds from initial consultations with new chiropractic patients will go to the charity.
He needed a picture taken to give the campaign some oomph and we shot this at his offices last week with some of his youngest clients. A simple two-light set-up to create some drama, and finished in no time – which is good because children have the attention span of goldfish.
